*Obituary for Domingo C. Sanchez, Jr.**

 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Domingo C. Sanchez, Jr., age 70, of Aransas Pass, Texas, who peacefully departed this world on August 4, 2025, after a valiant fight against cancer. Born in Ingleside, Texas, on August 17, 1954, Domingo was a proud graduate of Aransas Pass High School and a lifelong resident of the community he cherished deeply.

In a beautiful union that spanned 50 years, Domingo married his beloved wife, Ernestine (Tina) Diaz DeLeon, whose love and support were constants in his life. Together, they created a family filled with joy, laughter, and love. Domingo is lovingly remembered by his son John Dominic Sanchez, and his three cherished daughters, Anna Sanchez, Aleisha Sanchez, and Felicia Sanchez. He was a devoted family man, a pillar of strength and kindness who instilled values of love, resilience, and courage in all who knew him.

 Domingo dedicated 30 years of his life to his career as a welder at Gulf Marine Fabricators, where his craftsmanship and work ethic left an indelible mark. Outside of work, he was an enthusiastic lover of nature, finding peace and wonder in the art of birdwatching. Domingo enjoyed life's simple pleasures, often engaging in puzzles and brain games that brought joy and challenge to his days.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Domingo Lamas Sanchez, Sr.; his mother, Modesta Cruz Cantu Sanchez; and his brother, Alfonso Sanchez, Sr. Domingo’s legacy will continue through the loving bonds of his surviving siblings—John Sanchez (Norma), Arnold Sanchez (Juana), Rumaldo Sanchez (Stevie), Rodolfo Sanchez—and his cherished sisters, Linda Hernandez (George), Asucena (Susan) Morales, Leticia Dickman, and Felipa Sanchez (Roy). 

In honor of Domingo's life, a rosary will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass on August 7, 2025, at 7:00 PM, bringing together friends and family to celebrate his spirit. Public viewing will also take place at the same location on August 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at Charlie Marshall Crematory on August 8, 2025, at 10:00 AM, where we will gather to reflect on the love, laughter, and memories that Domingo has gifted us.

 Domingo will be laid to rest on August 8, 2025, a final journey underscored by the love of those who knew him and the nature he so adored. Though he has left this earthly realm, his spirit remains vibrant in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend, family member, and guiding light. In this time of great sadness, let us remember and celebrate a life well-lived, forever held in our hearts.
