Phạm Văn Đoan (1952–2025)

Phanxico Phạm Văn Đoan, age 73, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vang and Met Pham, and brothers Phạm Văn Đoàn and Phạm Văn Doãn.

Born on May 12, 1952 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Đoan was a man of quiet strength whose life stood as a testament to love, family, and perseverance. He began his journey as a shrimper in Vietnam and carried that vocation with him as he built a new life in America for three generations of his family.

Đoan was a devoted husband of 55 years to Nhuan and a proud father of nine children: Hien, Hoa (Maricel), John, Phuc, Van (Adam), Loan (Cuong), Toan (Kelly), Tien, and Ngoan. He was also a beloved Godfather to Teo (Nga) and a cherished grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Cole, Adam, Jayden, Zoe, Yvi, Ryleigh, Spencer, Kylie, Tommy, Timmy, and Jamie.

He was a respectful and loving younger brother to his sisters Linh Pham and Mua Pham and served as a role model for his fiercely loyal two younger brothers, Phạm Văn Đọan and Phạm Văn Phó. Đoan believed deeply in the power of family and dedicated his life to building a strong, supportive home. His generosity, goodwill, and love of cooking will be fondly remembered by his family and friends who had the joy of sharing a meal with him.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Rockport, TX. In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts, the family asks that you honor his memory by keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 19, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a prayer service being held at 6:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in ARANSAS PASS. On Friday, June 20, 2025 we move to Charlie Marshall's in ROCKPORT for a public visitation from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. The prayer service will be at 6:00 pm. Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockport, Tx. Burial will follow at Aransas Memorial Park Cemetery.
