Dennis
Clark
Apr 15, 1952 — Jul 11, 2026
Rockport
Dennis Lee Clark, 74, of Rockport, Texas, joined the Lord Jesus Christ in the eternal kingdom.
Dennis was born in California and grew up loving cars and motorcycles. As a young man he raced them, and that love of engines carried into his work — he spent his career as a mechanic in Rockport, where he later retired.
Dennis fished his whole life, every way there was: the bay, the pier, the surf. Part of it was the catch, but a lot of it was just the quiet of being out on the water. When he came in, he liked nothing better than a fish fry with family around the table.
He gave his time to his community too, coaching Little League and soccer over the years. On Sundays you'd find him at church with his daughter and grandkids. He was a family man through and through, married to his wife Kay for 48 years, and happiest with his grandchildren nearby.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Kay Frances Clark; his sons, Herman Pool (and wife, Anita) and Marvin Clark (and wife, Tammy); his daughters, Shenoah Clark and Linda Kennedy (and husband, Shane); his brother, Jim Clark (and wife, Cheri); his grandchildren, Sharif and Zeeva Salcedo; and his great-grandchildren, William, Ava, Eden, and Daniel Gonzalez. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Betty Clark.
He'll be missed by everyone who knew him. There will be a celebration of life for Dennis at Rockport First Assembly of God starting at 10:30 AM, Saturday, September 26 2026.
