David Leeroy Hudson

David L. Hudson, better known as Tuffy Hudson, 73, of Aransas Pass, TX passed away Monday, May 26, 2025.

Tuffy was born in Corpus Christi, TX on February 9, 1952, to Babe L. and Betty J. Hudson. His family moved to Houma, Louisiana shortly thereafter, where he was raised until moving to Ingleside, TX when he was in 7th grade. He loved and played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track until he graduated from Ingleside High School.

Tuffy met, and married Anna Y. (Vonnie)Tankersley in 1981. Their love for each other and marriage lasted until his death.

He was a self-employed contract welder for many years, and also worked in construction as a salesman.

Tuffy loved spending time with his son racing go-carts, late model cars, and modified cars. He was at every sporting event his son, granddaughters, and grandson participated in. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. Tuffy also loved riding his motorcycle and loved his motorcycle family.

Tuffy was preceded in death by his father, Babe L. Hudson, his mother, Betty J. West and her husband, Pete West, brother-in-law, Sam Millsaps, and his daughter, Phaedra (DeeDee) Hudson-Taylor, who he loved so very much.

He is survived by his wife, Vonnie Hudson, his son and daughter-in-law, Tuffy (Rachael), Son-in-Law, Mark Taylor, Grandchildren - Laiken (Jon) Guerrero, Maleia Taylor, Christian Peveto, Holden Hudson, and Spencer Hudson. Brothers and Sister - Mike (Kay) Hudson, Carl Hudson, and Glenda Millsaps, and nieces and nephews.
