Darrell Lynn Morgan Jr., affectionately known as DJ, was born on February 3, 1984, in Houston, Texas, and passed away on June 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of joy, kindness, and adventure. He was a free spirit whose infectious laughter and playful nature brightened the lives of everyone who knew him.
DJ grew up in a loving family and graduated from Ingleside High School in 2003. His adventurous spirit led him to embrace life to the fullest, whether he was fishing along the coast, flying kites on sunny days, or enjoying late-night gaming sessions with friends, particularly his favorite — Rocket League. Known for his spontaneous adventures and a deep love of motorcycles, DJ found happiness in simple pleasures like junk food and bowling, always sharing his enthusiasm with those around him. DJ will be forever remembered by his devoted son, Tucker Price Morgan, who was, without a doubt, the apple of his eye. He is also survived by his loving parents, Darrell and Mary Ann Morgan, his brother Derrick Morgan (Jamie), and his sister Kailey Nichole Burboa (Tommy). He leaves behind cherished memories with his grandmothers, Francis Smith and Virginia Morgan, as well as his nephews, Ryan, Evan, and Owen Morgan. DJ is preceded in death by his grandfathers, James Smith and Jimmie Morgan. 

A celebration of life will be held on June 21, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall in Ingleside, Texas. All are invited to come together to share stories, laughter, and memories that truly reflect the spirit of DJ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Southwest Transplant Alliance, located at 8190 Manderville Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231, to honor DJ’s generous heart.
