Darlene Brown

Darlene Brown passed away on January 15, 2024; she was 77 years old. She was born January 7, 1947, in Karnes City, Texas to Melvin Lee Barnes and Lela Newman Barnes. Darlene loved her Lord and Savior, her family, her friends, her dogs, and the color red. She was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lee Barnes; sister, Evelyn Ryan.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Brown; sons, Terry Cryer (Dana), and Steve Cryer (Jerry Smith); daughters, Nancy Sirmons (Josh), and Rebecca Gilbert (Steve); grandchildren, Brad, Chad, Devin, and Joshua Cryer, and Brandie Barlow; great-grandchildren, Ayden and Ivan Cryer, Hayden, and Jaykob Sales.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Soul's Harbor United Pentecostal Church at 1402 N. Pearl Rockport, Texas 78382. Pastor Joyce Clayton will be conducting the service.
