Dale Baushard Benton, from Ingleside Texas was born August 21,1931 and passed away nine days before his 90th birthday on August 12,2021. Dale was born and raised in Pennsylvania, son of John and Ruth Benton. He joined the navy and served four years, having served in Japan and Korea War. He was married 31 years to Marilyn Benton and fathered five children, having lost his firstborn son to Leukemia at 13 months old, and another stillborn child at 8 months of age, he had three surviving children.

The children and their families are as follows: Glenn Benton, from Ingleside, Texas and his wife, Peggy and their three children, Steven Benton and his wife Hanna and their two children, Jonathan Benton and his wife, Carly and their three children, and Michael Benton and his wife Aline, all who reside in Ingleside, Texas. His second surviving son Ronnie Benton, also from Ingleside had two children, Dallas Benton Hutsell and her husband, Robert and their three children, living in Boerne, Texas and Zane Benton, who fathered two children and is living in Florida with his wife Haley. His daughter, April Benton, living in New Mexico had two sons, with one surviving son, Clayton Winn and his wife Samantha and his two children living at Uvalde, as Clayton is serving in the Army at Fort Hood Texas. Trey Winn fathered a son prior to his death, from Rockport, Texas.

Dale Benton was Preceded in death by his oldest son, Steven Benton, his stillborn daughter and his Father, John Benton, Mother Ruth Benton and his two brothers, Mack Benton and Harvey Benton, and his grandson, Trey Winn.

Services for burial are being provided by Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas, with private viewing of the body for immediate family only on Wednesday, August 18th from 3 to 7 pm and graveside service being held on Thursday August 19th at 11 am at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas with full military honors being served. Dale was living in a private home care facility when he fell ill and passed away quietly away in his sleep on the morning of August 12,2021 after a brief illness. Dale was loved and will be missed by family and friends. He raised three children with Marilyn Benton and was a good father to his children he raised. He had 13 beautiful grandchildren.
