Obituary

Clarence W. Decker, Jr., (“Bill”) went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2026, in Aransas Pass, Texas. He was born on June 29, 1965, in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Annette; their daughter, Brandi Nicole Haverlock (Chad); grandson, Dominic Adam Scannell; brother, Michael Lucas (Carol); cousin, Jeanie Hedlund (Michael) and many nieces, nephews and dear friends and family. Bill was preceded in death by his mom and dad.

Bill met this wife, Annette, in 1994 in San Antonio, Texas. They dated for one and a half years before getting married. Bill also accepted the role as a father to Brandi, Annette’s daughter, on that date.

Bill learned the meaning of hard work early in life through his first job at a pizza restaurant in Indianapolis, and from working alongside his brother Mike, who was also in the restaurant industry. Bill continued his career in the restaurant industry until his passing, with his last adventure playing an instrumental role in opening Mr. Gatti’s Pizza restaurants in Portland and Clearlake, Texas.

When Bill wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family, going to the beach, cooking on his BBQ grill, listening to music and relaxing on the couch with his cats, Tommy and Sunshine.

Bill was passionate about the people and things he loved and unapologetic about pursuing his dreams.

A celebration of his life will be held on July 11, 2026, 11:00 am, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, 2003 W. Wheeler, Aransas Pass, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to help with funeral and medical expenses due to his untimely death.
