Christian Hamrick

Christian Hoyt Hamrick passed away peacefully at his home on August 11, 2022. Hoyt was born on February 12, 1962 in Sinton, Texas to Charles and Loree' Hamrick. He graduated from
Aransas Pass High School in 1981 and married Peggy Spencer Hamrick November 17, 1984.
They have one beloved son, Zachary Taylor Hamrick.

Hoyt was a member and trustee of the First United Methodist Church of Portland, Texas. He was an amateur radio operator (HAM) who enjoyed visiting with people near and far. Hoyt
never met a stranger. He loved sharing stories of his family and of his childhood in Aransas Pass. After his retirement from Gregory-Portland ISD maintenance department, he found a passion for woodworking creating unique and creative crosses.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Hamrick, his brothers Charles "Nippy" Hamrick and Charlton Holt Hamrick (infant.). There will be a great reunion in heaven for these Hamrick
men. He survived by his wife of 37 years, Peggy; son, Zachary; his mother, Loree'; sisters Charla Marlatt (John) and Holly (June's) Malone; all his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly
and his many dear friends.

Celebration of Life will be held at First United Methodist Church of Portland on August 20, 2022 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to: First United
Methodist Church of Portland; First United Methodist Church of Portland Youth Group: American Heart Association, or to your favorite charity in his honor.
