Rockport

Charlyne Taylor and her twin sister were born in Corpus Christi on June 30, 1950 to Noah and Alma Taylor. The "Taylor Twins" as they were referred to. Charlyne passed away peacefully in her home on May 5, 2026. Charlyne graduated from Rockport-Fulton high school in 1969. She attended and graduated from south Texas commercial college. Charlyne was a very strong willed independent woman. She was accustomed to hard work. She took that work ethic with her wherever she went. She worked for Coastal States in Corpus Christi before working for Aransas Butane Gas Company for many years until her fathers retirement. She received her LPG gas license to supervise LPG operations for the cooperation in 1976, from the railroad commission. During a period when few women took interest in the LPG industry. She worked and retired from Nueces County District Attorney's office in 2007 as a legal secretary for the county court at law.

She was very family oriented and family was always the most important part of her life. Her attention to her family earned her the nickname "Sister". Left to cherish her memories are her Nephew, Raymond James Appel SR his wife Reanna Appel, his two children, Raymond James Appel JR, and Cheynn Appel Wood her husband Dylan Wood and her brother Jimmy Ray, Taylor and his wife Carol Taylor and their children of Colorado. Sister came into this world a fighter and left this world fighting.
