Charles Elliot Stephens was born on May 6, 1942, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. He peacefully passed away at his home in Rockport, Texas, on July 4, 2025.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janis, who passed in 2019. He is survived by his sister, Linda Foley of Spring, Texas, and his brother, Glenn Stephens of New Braunfels, Texas.

A man of boundless curiosity and a deep appreciation for the arts, Charles was known for his wit, charm, and generous spirit. He had a gift for bringing joy to those around him—whether through a well-timed joke, a vibrant conversation, or simply sharing his passions with others.

His absence will be felt deeply by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Charles left behind a legacy of laughter, creativity, and a heart full of love. He will be greatly missed.
