Charles Ray Shedd Sr.

Charlie Ray Shedd Sr. went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 21, 2025, at the age of 80. More than anything, Poppy cherished and loved spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He found great joy in watching Kirsten and Miranda play softball, volleyball, and basketball, and Derek and Aaron play football, baseball, and run track during high school. Later, he enjoyed playing golf with Derek and Miranda, helping Aaron fix his cars, and working alongside Derek and Kirsten as they remodeled four houses.

Charlie loved floundering and fishing with his youngest son, Chorty, especially catching redfish. He loved his daughter in-laws Carrie and Cheryl and looked forward to Tammy’s planned family birthday parties and family get togethers. He was always there to help Jay Dee with welding, repairing tractors and mowers and offering great advise.

Charlie lived with a servant’s heart, always willing to lend a hand to family, friends, and neighbors. He believed in the power of prayer, trusted in God’s promises, and found peace knowing his eternal home was in heaven. His love for the Lord shined through his actions, and he left behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Proceeded in death by his father James Shedd Sr.; mother: Clara Mae Shedd ;Brothers and Sisters, James Shedd, Evelyn Johnson, Edith Cheek, Doris Kelly, Gerald Shedd, Clifford Shedd; and granddaughter, Angie Arjona. 

Survived by his wife Joellen Shedd; Children Jay Dee Shedd (Carrie) and Charles Ray Shedd Jr. (Cheryl); Sister Patricia McCoy, (George); Grandkids, Kirsten Shedd Eubanks, (Colton), Derek Shedd, (Cassidy), Tammy Knutson, Larry Parnell, (Katrina); Great grandkids, Aaron Arjona (Brittney), Miranda Arjona, Kristopher Parnell, Patrick Parnell, Angela Knutson, Ashton Parnell, Skyler Parnell, Saint Arjona, Easton Arjona, Abilene Arjona, Karsyn Eubanks and Koy Shedd.
