Aaron Evans

Charles Aaron Evans, 69, of Aransas Pass, TX, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Aaron was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and endless curiosity about the world around him. One of his greatest joys was birding and photography. With a camera in hand and his eyes lifted to the sky, Aaron found beauty in the smallest details of nature. He could often be found patiently waiting for the perfect shot of a hummingbird, eagle, or songbird, capturing moments that reflected both his patience and wonder.

Beyond the lens, Aaron poured that same attention and gratitude into the people he loved most, his family and friends. He treasured time together, noticing the details others might miss, and making each moment meaningful. He also loved traveling the world through his work at General Dynamics, tinkering in his workshop, perfecting his BBQ recipes, listening to music on his deck, and, most of all, spending time with his family.

Aaron is survived by his loving wife, Randa Evans; his children, Amy Evans, Jack Evans, Amber Evans, Thomas (Valerie) Evans, and Edward Goff; his mother, Betty Evans Lucas; and his siblings, Jay (Patty) Evans, Tammy Evans, and Al Evans. He was a proud grandfather to Jordyn Ivie, Tristan Evans, Price Evans, Chance Evans, Michael McCartney, Layla Evans, Levi Evans, Alex Goff, Kali Goff, Lance Goff, and Dakota Goff, and a great-grandfather to Arielle Ivie and Gracenn Richter. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Evans.

A celebration of Aaron’s life will be announced soon. The family invites friends to share photos or memories of birds or nature that remind them of Aaron, as a way to honor his love of beauty in the world.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Serenity and Grace Hospice Care for their compassionate care and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Aaron’s memory to the Aransas First Land Trust, supporting the preservation of Aransas County’s natural treasures for future generations. (AransasFirst.org)
