Charles Warren Dixon Sr., age 81, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on September 5, 2026.

Born on October 28, 1944, to Orin and Robena Dixon, in New River, North Carolina. Chuck lived a life devoted to hard work and family. He loved hunting, camping, riding motorcycles, attending football games, and spending time with his family. He spent 62 years married to his wife, Linda, going to motorcycle rallies with their many cherished friends, camping with his family, especially at their favorite place; the Frio River, and driving all over the state of Texas watching high school football games.

He joined the US Navy at a young age and was a proud veteran. He later worked for the Department of Defense as a high voltage electrician for public works. He retired from NAS Corpus Christi, as the supervisor of public works. He was proud of the work he did and his crew at NAS Corpus.

Chuck was a member of the Masonic Lodge - Ingleside 1361 and served as Master of the Lodge. He also was honored to be a member of the Al Amin Shooters and Noble Riders units as a member of the Al Amin Shrine Temple. He and his wife volunteered their time raising money the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Galveston. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Lenora Kay Fogle. Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda, his three sons, Charles Jr (Madeline), Robbie (Gia), and Jamie (Leslie); his grandchildren Dakota, Ashley, Colton, Hunter, Tyler, and Allison, and his beloved great-grandchildren; Grayson, Blair, and Kinley, and his brother Edward. Also, his brother in laws Jack Ward & Gene (Marilyn) Ward. As well as many numerous nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, September 21, 2026 a1 11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of life reception at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.
