Charles Arterbury

Charles Roy Arterbury Jr, 65, of Rockport, TX, passed away on August 26, 2023.

He was born in Flint, MI on February 21, 1958.

Roy graduated from Marshall High School in Marshall, TX and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Phoenix.

He was married to his high school sweetheart Wanda Metcalf Arterbury on 11/27/1976.

Roy joined the USAF and served his country for 20 years. After retirement he then moved on to management for the remainder of his career.

He was a member of the Freemasons and a lifelong Southern Baptist.

He has a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, golfing, and he loved the Boise State Broncos football team.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Roy Arterbury Sr. and his mother Jeanne Porter Arterbury.

He is survived by his wife Wanda, son Jason and daughter-in-law Krista, daughter Ashley and son-in-law Jeff.

9 grandchildren; Kaitlynn, Christopher, Madison, Morgan, Skylen, Daxton, Ryker, Alex, and Spencer. 3 sisters; Debra, Laura, and Karen, 1 brother; Richard.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. September 3, 2023, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home 814 East Main Street Rockport, TX 78382.
