Cecilia “Belia” Flores Valenzuela was born November 22,1935 to Manuel and Dorotea Flores. She passed peacefully on Tuesday August the 5th 2025.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years Alvino Valenzuela Sr, daughter Dianne Carbajal (Richard), and sons Alvino Valenzuela Jr. and Eric Valenzuela (Amy). As well as grandchildren Darrell Carbajal (Crystal), Adrianne Avila (Jesse), Jamen Valenzuela, Raymond Valenzuela (Gabi) and great grandchildren Kelcie and Keith Killough, Camryn and Carissa Carbajal, Jase Avila, Lennon and Margot Valenzuela, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Cecilia went by many names, Belia, Mom, Grandma, Momo, and Grammy. No matter what name she went by she meant so much to all who addressed her. She was the rock of the family, a true cornerstone. Her home was a welcoming place for everyone, where memories were made and cherished by all.
What will be missed most will be her matriarchal habits that never aged, no matter how her kids or grandkids did, such as “call me when you get home” and “here is some money for a hamburger”.
She never missed a birthday, and she loved to visit or call to check on the sick. Her favorite things to do were sewing and gardening. She loved the time she was able to volunteer at Castaways to support Sacred Heart School.
We will celebrate her life with a Rosary at 9:15 a.m. and a Mass at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 11, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockport
