Carmen Scott of Aransas Pass passed away October 31st, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was married to Clinton Wayne Scott on March 1st, 1969.
She was born in Aransas Pass on May 7, 1929 to Lucas Rodriguez and Enriqueta Villarreal. Carmen was preceded in death by her husband Clinton Wayne Scott, father Lucas Rodriguez, mother Enriqueta Herrera and siblings, Maria Moreno, Enocencia Rodriguez, Beda Flores, Oralia Perez, Florentino Rodriguez, Natividad Rodriguez and Lucas Rodriguez Jr.
She is survived by her children Johnny Rodriguez of Portland, Harold Rodriguez of Ingleside, Sandra Alvarez of Aransas Pass and Elizabeth Scott of Corpus Christi. She had 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren whom she loved.
Carmen received her GED after taking classes and enjoyed working on the yard, taking road trips she loved the different scenery and along the way every single church we passed she would do the sign of the cross. They were churches of all denominations.
She loved playing piano, singing, arts and crafts, playing bingo and solved Wheel of Fortune puzzles still at the age of 96.
Carmen saw the beauty in all of natures forms and pointed them out so everyone around her could enjoy them with her.
Carmen had a career in sales with Naylors Hardware Store, K-Wolens Department Store, accounting for Christian Service Center, was a CCD Teacher for St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church and member of church Choir for years.

A viewing and Holy Rosary will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, 2003 W. Wheeler Ave., Aransas Pass, TX 78336, on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 11:00–8:00 PM, with the Rosary at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. May. Star of the Sea, 342 S Rife St, Aransas Pass, TX, Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at San Antonio Cemetery.
