Bennie Juanice Moore passed away peacefully at her home on August 30, 2021. She was born June 28, 1930, to Velma Turner Barrett and Fred Barrett, in Garrison, Texas. She moved to Rockport with her family in 1956 from East Texas. To know Bennie was to love her and be loved by her. Bennie took special care of all in her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Bennie especially loved children. For over 50 years she loved and nurtured many Aransas County children. First in her home and then later at Moores Day Care until her retirement in 2000. Bennie was a member of First Baptist Church in Rockport, Women's Missionary Union, Business and Professional Women, and a proud member of the Texas Licensed Child Care Association. In addition, Bennie was also an accomplished seamstress. In her early years, she sewed for the public out of her home and was always willing to make or alter clothing for all of her kids and grandkids.

Bennie was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Moore, brother, Ralph Barrett, sisters Lou Willie Stovall, Gloria Kline, Ada Bell Barrett, and Tommie Ann Simonsmeier.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Glenn) Adams of Garrison, Melvin (Jan) Moore of Rockport, and Diana (Martin) Moss of Rockport. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amy (David) Willis of Lufkin, Joby (Rhonda) Moore of Goliad, Christi Moore of Rockport, Amy (Michael Canterbury) Lilly of Rockport, Jaime Zickefoose of Corpus Christi, and Carrie (Donny) Padier or Rockport, Claire (Shawn) Hallett of Victoria, Jessica Todryk of Austin and Megan (Chris) Glisan of Austin, great-grandchildren, Chase Lynn (Richard) Zamudio  A J Willis, Katy Beth Willis, Jayden Moore, Layne Moore, Kyler Gibson, Jayke Langley, Brayden Lilly, Michael Canterbury, Stephen Canterbury, Aubrey (Eric) Atkinson, Kadyn Zickefoose, Kyson Zickefoose, and Morgan Padier, Brandon (Reagan) Padier, Justin (Ashley Jacobsen) Padier, Kamryn Hallett, Karsten Hallett, Madeline Todryk and Will Todryk, great great grandchildren Sadie Rose Padier, and Leighton Padier.

In addition Bennie is survived by her dearest friends, Martha Radke and Janie Jordan of Rockport.

Visitation will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Rockport. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at First Baptist Church in Rockport.
