Barbara Nations

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the passing of Barbara Peoples Nations on October 27, 2023. Born in San Antonio, Texas on October 13, 1949 to Tom Peoples and Fay Sims, Barbara was the beloved wife of James Thomas Nations and beloved mother of James Wesley Nations, Thomas Ray Nations (Hyunjoo), Joshua Ray Suchetski (Patricia), and Sara DeLozier (Jon).

Barbara was many things throughout the years: daughter, wife, mother, baker, shop owner, artist, and friend. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Her passion for art was evident in her paintings and sculptures which she proudly displayed in her home. She had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

She was preceded in death by her father Tom Peoples; mother; Fay Sims; husband James Thomas Nations; son James Wesley Nations; brothers Jimmy Peoples, Wayne Peoples, Larry Peoples and Tom Peoples. Jr; sisters Fay Ola Peoples and Susie Suchetski

Barbara is survived by her sons Thomas Ray Nations (Hyunjoo) and Joshua Ray Suchetski (Patricia); daughter Sara DeLozier (Jon); numerous relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

A funeral will be held for Barbara on November 5th at 2pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass. All who knew her are invited to come pay respects to Barbara’s memory. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society in honor of Barbara’s memory.
