Annette Christine Ables was born in Wichita, Kansas on March 26, 1973. Annette passed away March 15, 2023 at home in Port Aransas Texas. Annette lived her early years in Chouteau and Pryor Oklahoma.
Dustin Ables was Annette's only child; Dustin, Lydeana, Davey Mae and Kurtis comprise Dustin's family Dustin's cousin Kala Palmer is more like a sister to Dustin than a cousin.
Annette was the daughter of Frank and Cheryl Ables and sister to Wade, Brad and Fauna and their families. Annette's grandparents were Elmer and Dessie Dinsmore, and Ralph and Margie Kinion Ables. Annette had a deep love for all her friends and family, but a special place in her heart for her longtime friend Tish Walker.
Friends introduced Annette to Port A and she fell in love with the island and people. UTMSI employees welcomed Annette and became friends. Annette soon found the love of her life, Mike Elizondo and was blessed to include Tavia and Mikel in her family.
Some of Annette's aunts, uncles, cousins and their families include: Donna Palmer, Kala and Alden Palmer, Karen Gwartney, Josh and Tim Gwartney, Bob and Tari Ables, JW (James) and Wyvanna Ables, Pam Sien, Jerry and Kimberley Sien, Tim and Patty Potteiger and families. The extensive Ables, Kinion Forehand and Dinsmore families living and those waiting for Annette in heaven were deeply loved.
A memorial service will be hosted by the VFW Auxiliary at the VFW post April 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in Port Aransas Texas. Fellowship and refreshments to follow.
