Aminta B. Morin, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Ingleside on July 15, 2017. She was born on November 15, 1925 in Benavides, Texas to Eulalio and Eustolia Benavides.
Aminta was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ramiro Morin Sr.; parents and grand-daughter, Pamela Lynn Morin. She is survived by her sons, Ramiro Morin Jr (Lucy), Jose A. Morin (Toma), Joel Morin (Imelda) and Lito Morin; daughters, Lorraine Rechterman, Rosemary Morin, Diana Morin and Edna Mae Hornsby; sister, Cecelia Longoria; 23 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and many friends. Pallbearers will be, Joseph Morin, Jason Rechterman, Angelo Melendez, Uriah Morin, Jason Melendez and Myles Hornsby.
Aminta was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dear friend to so many. She was a great woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved playing cards and dominoes and was very talented when it came to quilting and crocheting. She loved her family and was happiest when she was around them, cooking their favorite dishes and sharing special moments together. She will be remembered as a woman who was filled with love and joy. She was always very nurturing, companionate, and giving. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was a fierce prayer warrior, always putting the needs of others before her own. She is the epitome of Proverbs 31. Although she is gone, her memory, warmth and life lessons will live in our hearts forever.
A Visitation will be held at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home of Aransas Pass on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; family will be present from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church. Interment will follow at The Palms Memorial Garden in Portland, Texas.
