Alma Tijerina Longoria Ortiz was 69 years of age, from Corpus Christi Texas. She passed away on March 25th, 2026. She was born in Aransas Pass Texas, on June 8th 1956 to Juan and Celedonia Longoria.
She was married to Homer P. Ortiz for an enternal love story. Alma was a social butterfly, and she was very joyful and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She lead an example on showing her children's and grandchildren's, how to love one another and always be there for each other. She loved to cook and bake for all her children's. Her favorite hobbies we're to go shopping with her "pocket book" she would call it, and gardening at home. Ma's favorite food was fried chicken, tacos, and soups. She loved to have her morning coffee, but most definetly loved her "pop" coca-cola. She was a dedicated member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
She was preceded in death by her father Juan Longoria, her mother Celedonia Rosario Tijerina Longoria, her husband Homer P. Ortiz, her daughter Celedonia Rosario Ortiz, her grandson Marcus Jesus Ortiz Trevino, her brother Tony Tijerina, her sister's Laura Aguilar, and Dora Kegger.
She was survived by her children, Micaela L. Ortiz, Alma L. Ortiz, Augustine L. Ortiz, and Linda Ortiz. Her grandchildren, Christopher Ortiz, Rolando Saldana, Raymond Ortiz, Antonio Saldana, Shelby Ortiz, Juan Torres, Selena Saldana, Manuel Delafuente, Asia Ortiz, Martina Trevino, Genoveva Delafuente, Angelyna Trevino, Florisol Torres, and Espranza Trevino. And plus her 23 great-grandchildren. Her sister's Rose Mary Cruz, Palmair Lopez, and Oralia Longoria. Her brother's Joe Longoria, Jessie Longoria, Julian Longoria, and Juan Longoria.
A memorial gathering will be on Saturday, April 4, 2026 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. The celebration of life will be held also on April 4th, 2026, at 2:00 pm all services will be at Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2003 W. Wheeler Ave. Aransas Pass, Texas 78336.
Alma will forever be missed by all who knew and loved her, we will all miss her trademark SMILE.
