In Loving Memory of Alfredo Fidel Naranjo,
Alfredo Fidel Naranjo, 81, of Aransas Pass, TX passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a loving Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Brother.
Alfred was a retired Deckhand for the Department of Transportation where he served 29 years before retiring. Prior to his career as a Deckhand, he was a Heavy Machine Crane Operator. He was a member of the Coastguard Reserved, where he served at least a decade.
Alfred a native of the Aransas Pass and Ingleside area had a gift for making people feel welcomed. Whether you were a lifelong friend or a stranger he had just met, he could strike up a conversation and leave you smiling. His kindness, warmth, and easy laugh made him a friend to all.
He adored his family above all else, and they were the center of his world. His happiest moments were spent sharing meals, telling stories, and enjoying time together. A true lover of good food and sweet treats, Alfred believed dessert was one of life’s simple joys meant to be savored. He had a lifelong love for drawing, filling his sketchbooks with everything from shrimp boats and farm scenes to playful doodles of those in front of him that captured his sense of humor.
He is preceded in death by his Mother (Geneva Salinas), Father (Fluhencio Naranjo), Daughter (Barbara Jean Naranjo), Wife (Silveria Naranjo), his four brothers Jimmy (Ida), Eloy (Rose), John (Corina) and Joe Naranjo (Emma).
Alfred is survived by, his sons Alfred Naranjo Jr. and Benjamin Hernandez (Terry), his Grandchildren Areale Martinez and Kameron Lopez (Johnathan), his Great-Grandchildren Krysta Sanchez, Haley Moss, Madison Lopez, Makenzy Lopez, Mia Olivarez and Jacob Lopez, his sister Genevieve Sanchez (John), his nephew Andres Naranjo, and many other nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. To know him was to be blessed by his friendship and his open heart.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas. Public visitation will be from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Monday, August 18, 2025. Rosary will be held at 2:00pm leading into the service at the funeral home. Burial to be followed at Prairie View Cemetery.
