Aletha Moore-Bommer

Aletha Helen Moore-Bommer (Pruitt), age 83, of Aransas Pass, Texas stepped into her Heavenly home on Sunday, October 1, 2017. Letha was born on June 14, 1934 in Aransas Pass, TX to Martin and Reba Pruitt. She attended Aransas Pass High School and was part of the class of 1953. She married the love of her life, Edward Terrell "Johnny" Moore, on December 19, 1954 and together had two children, Cheryle Marie and Terrell Martin "Terry." She worked for many years at Coastal Freezing and worked over a decade in the deli at HEB. Letha had an amazing love for God and she spent more than half her life playing the piano and organ in her church. She had many happy years with her church friends playing music and bringing much joy to the residents and staff at the Lexington Nursing Home. Letha was equally passionate in her love of gardening. She had a special gift of making anything she touched grow. Letha is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny, her parents, Martin and Reba, her sister and brother-in-law Jessie Bell and "Speedy" Holt, sister-in-law, Marie Price. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryle Stansberry (Terry), son, Terrell Martin Moore Sr. (Valencia), 7 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Gene Moore, two nephews, Bobby Moore (Erica) and Wade Allen Holt (Dee), as well as numerous cousins and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home, 2003 W. Wheeler, Aransas Pass, TX with family present. A chapel service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, October 6, 2017 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. A Committal will follow at Prairie View Cemetery.
