Charles "Chubby" Arthur McLester, 88, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Chubby was born on November 02, 1930 in Rockport, TX to Ruby May and Archie A. McLester.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Cheryl Hamilton, two sister and four brothers.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years of marriage, Sandra McLester; two daughters, Mary Parr and Ruby Williams; three step-daughters, Diane Mooney, Bonnie Stephens and Connie Low; one step-son, Steven Helms. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Chubby McLester, a third generation pioneer of the Rockport-Fulton area, was a U.S Army Veteran who proudly served his County in Germany, where he was stationed during the Korean War. Chubby was a Boat Captain for many years. He enjoyed fishing, horses and cattle, a total cowboy without a doubt. He was a wonderful father, husband, grandfather, friend and overall an amazing man.
