Bob L. Bailey of Rockport, Texas passed from this earthly life on November 24, 2019, at 85 years of age.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Dorothy; son, Bill Bailey and his wife, Chrissy; daughters, Nancy Cooper and her husband, Jim, Holli Thomas and her husband Bob; son-in-law, Dave Hudek. Bob also had 6 grandchildren, Heather McEntyre, Ben Cooper, Kristen Cooper, Logan Bailey, Emily Cooper, Gabriel Bailey and 2 great-grandchildren, Jackson and Olivia McEntyre. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Hudek. Bob was a loving husband, father and a friend to everyone he met.
Bob loved hunting and fishing, coaching soccer, dogs, old cars and boats. He especially loved his country and served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958 as an IBM Equipment Specialist. Bob was a big supporter of the Rockport Aquarium building several of their fish displays and volunteering his time there several days a week. He loved his church and his family and was always there to help people when they needed him. Bob was a man who held firmly to his convictions and never wavered in his faith. He will be greatly missed by friends and family.
Bob's family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Rockport Aquarium in his honor. The Aquarium is located at 706 Navigation Circle in Rockport.
A memorial service for Bob was held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 111 Woodland Street, Rockport, Texas on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.
Burial will be held at the Corpus Christi State Veteran's Cemetery.
