Bartolo Garcia Pena Jr, 78, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2018. He was born in Corpus Christi, TX to parents Bartolo and Ella Pena Sr. on December 2, 1940.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bartolo and Ella Pena Sr.; sister, Sara Pena.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Aida D Pena; son, Roland L. Pena (Hope); daughter, Cynthia P. Gomez (Bobby); siblings, Dora McDaniels, Polly Playfair, Donicio P. Pena and Zulema Leanhart; grandchildren, Matthew P. Palacios, Marisa Palacios, Marcy Hammond, Marina Koch; great-grandchildren, Ava Palacios, Mariah Palacios, Josiah Palacios, Ellayna Ochoa, Xavier Sierra, Brodie Hernandez, and Wyatt Hammond.

Bartolo was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass. He was a self-employed Commercial Fisherman for over 52 years he owned M/V the Pam, the Aida Dalia and the Dalia. When he wasn’t on the water he enjoyed ranching in Goliad, TX. and for over the last 45 years spending time with his family. He attended the St. Mary Star of the Sea in Aransas Pass.

Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Rosary will begin held 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2018, at St. Mary Star of the Sea located on 342 S. Rife St. in Aransas Pass, TX. Christian burial will follow at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, TX.
