Keith Leon Pearson

Keith Leon Pearson, age 69 passed away on October 21, 2018 surrounded by his wife and children. Keith was born on May 3, 1949 in Wheeling, West Virginia to parents Carl W & Cora M Pearson, both of whom preceded him in death.

Keith was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army Special Forces as a Green Beret Paratrooper. He was a member of the Carl Morrison American Legion Post #363 in Rockport, Texas.

On October 31, 1987 he married Sandra Hutson Pearson and lovingly opened his heart to her two daughters, Amanda and Stephanie. They, in turn, lovingly gave him the title of Dad.
After he proudly served his country, he had a long career in construction primarily as a construction superintendent on many local jobs some of which included the Rockport-Fulton High School renovation, Rockport-Fulton Middle School, The Jewish Community Center of Corpus Christi, and many others. His final project was the Goliad Event Center. He was proud of his many accomplishments in this line of work.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra, of 31 years and his daughters Amanda (Logan) Burton of Rockport and Stephanie (John) Reed of Portland. He was affectionately known as Grandpap by his grandchildren Adyson and Kinslee Burton and Chris and Caitlyn Reed.
He is also survived by siblings Jenny Pearson of West Virginia, J. Brent (Wendy) Pearson also of West Virginia, and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and a brother Carl W. Pearson of Florida.

Private family services will be held at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Carl Morrison American Legion Post #363 in Rockport, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for contributions or donations be made to the American Legion Auxiliary #363 of Rockport, TX.
